About Tony's "Why"
What is under the hood?
I solve problems. In addition to being a Licensed Real Estate Agent, I serve as the the Managing Director of Steep Solutions where I work with small and medium-sized business owners in a management advisory capacity. Through Steep Solutions I leverages my faith, military leadership experience, “divergent thought” process and organizational development capabilities to help companies adapt to changes in the senior-living marketplace. I love to challenge the way for-profit, non-profit and governmental agencies collaborate, resource and respond to our growing social issues to build more resilient and connected communities.
To do this, I leverage a passion for mission and more than two decades of successfully leading people, projects and organizations on a local, regional and globally level. My efforts have discretely solidified market leadership positions for various companies (public & private) in a plethora of industries today while granting me a global perspective of market leadership. My senior-level military and corporate experience in leadership development, international program management, real estate, process improvement, and health & safety provide the platform from which I navigate the challenges communities and marketplaces face today.
I credit the development of my servant-style leadership and business acumen to God’s grace and discipline gained during my 12+ year tenure with the U.S. military. There I was exposed to high-level problem solving and diverse leadership opportunities which afforded me positions of escalating responsibilities during significant national events such as Hurricane Katrina and the Iraqi War.
Since leaving military service as a Captain, I have served in corporate management positions within Fortune 500 companies such as Target, Fred Meyer, Kroger & First Solar. He has also served privately-held/family companies such as Rural/Metro Corporation, Modern Law, Access Legal Services and Giustina Resources. I continue to serve the non-profit and government sectors from the City of Mesa and U.S. Congressional members to Rotary International and Catholic Charities as a volunteer Board Member.
My family, and I have called the Phoenix-East Valley home since 2009. My primary motivation in life has always been to make the world a better place by serving other people and causes greater than myself.
I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Marylhurst University.
